I am a musical journeyman, and have been recording (on and off) in a home studio, since about 1988. I experiment with different forms, methods, and styles,
I began to recording on a cassette 4-track (Tascam Porta-One) in 1988, and enjoying the whole process of recording sounds, I then purchased an Atari ST, running Cubase Vs1. I moved on to a digital 8-track in about 1998 (Roland VS-880) and then to a more modern mac setup, which I'm using now. I am a visual artist, as well as a musical experimenter, an dI believe this does inform the way I work.

Story behind the song
I had some issues recording this one, and I'll try some new DAW's in future!
Lyrics
Traces In The Concrete There's a ragged artist, selling painting's on the street, I ask him "how you doing?" but his answer is discreet, He says, "I prefer my truth unvarnished, I want to feel the brushstrokes of my life" Traces in the concrete, traces in the clay (Repeated) I reach into my pocket, to seize the moment of the day, but all I find in my wallet, which is looking old and frayed, I find some fluff, and bits of foil, and a foreign light-weight coin, Traces in the concrete... There's flouride in the water, and it's sapped my will to live, I turn my T.V of and on, and my fingers dance a merry jig! Traces in the concrete... Are we all part of some material process, a cycle of conditioning, embryonic osmosis (Repeated) Do we go from A to Z, in a track's groove, flowing to the sea (Repeated) (Repeat Verse 1)
