I have been writing from the time I could play my guitar at 12 years old, I'm 72 now and for the last few years I've been writing Christian music.
I'm a good ole boy from Georgia. In the early 70's I started a cover band, The Re-Creation. We played local gigs for several years. We all started having families and other jobs paid a lot more, so we gave up on music. I've dabbled in song writing over the years. I've been a Christian for a long time but, and as I've gotten older, I feel I have a calling from God to write Christian music. There are enough of my old lady done left with my dog songs. I'm sharing the good news of Jesus and His plan for salvation to an increasingly damaged world. My hash tag is #JesusLovesYou The love of Jesus comes before everything else.

Lyrics
Floating down the Chattahooch 1985 By Donnie Priest Floating down the river, on a inner tube of air To see me there in the sun, youd think I hadnt a care The drinks are getting cold; the day is getting hot Floating down the river, I like to do a lot (Chorus) Floating down the Chattahooch With a cooler as my caboose Floating down the Chattahoochee Floating down the Chattahooch Thats where I like to turn loose Thats where I feel free Monday is back to work, back to push and shove When I daydream of the river, I pray to the one above When it is my time, my maker I get to see I hope the rivers in Heaven, look like the Chattahoochee (Chorus) Floating down the Chattahooch With a cooler as my caboose Floating down the Chattahoochee Floating down the Chattahooch Thats where I like to turn loose Thats where I feel free (Bridge) The river is my friend The river is the end Of my troubles for a while The sky sure is blue God I thank you Look on the water And see me smile The weekend is coming, only four days away I can hardly wait, for that bright sunny day When I get my rubber ship, and set out for sea If you want to find me, Ill be on the Chattahoochee (Chorus) Floating down the Chattahooch With a cooler as my caboose Floating down the Chattahoochee Floating down the Chattahooch Thats where I like to turn loose Thats where I feel free
