Story behind the song

Lyrics
(¾ with drone) E A E Sweet Fanny Gibbons, she waits for me E B7 Wearing no diamonds or pearls E A E With her hair tied in ribbons for all to see E B7 E That she is my best girl She is so pretty, she is so fair That’s why my heart will abide No girl from the city could hope to compare To her as she walks by my side --- B A E And I always tell her one day we’ll be wed And I’ll realise all the dreams in my head E A E Forever and ever in our wedding bed E B7 E For she is my best girl Every hour seems endless to me Whether at work or at play That I’m not with her is all I can see All through the long dreary day instrumental -- as chorus There she is standing so perfect and tall Looking for me with her back to the wall As I emerge from my primary school For she is my best girl Repeat first verse?
