Story behind the song
I came home one day to find that my girlfriend of a year and a half was cheeting on me. This would not have been so bad if I had not been fooled into believing everything was perfect. Most everyone has been there one way or another. Well I took it too far and overdosed on all kind of crap. So as I was sitting on the front porch swing Trippin on shrooms, drunk, stoned, etc... I had a song playin' through my head. This is what kept me goin through the worst experience of my life. After swingin for hours I came to only to find I had to write this into a song. Long story short... after a few months of pitiful sobbing an wimpering I got over it. Back in the field I decided to hit at anything I saw as attractive to me. After a couple of misses I hit a homer. Found my wife, got married, bought a house, had some kids, and still love to party. Moral to my story is everyone knows life has its up's and downs... ...It is how we deal with it that really matters
Lyrics
I'm leavin here today, I'm never comin home, I'm here to stay, and the sun it warms my body as I'm sittin on the swing watchin all the clouds bring in the rain.....
