Story behind the song
In this song, the character begins to feel like he’s being pulled down. The sky is now grey and he puts on masks to make people think everything’s alright in his world. In fact, he finds it hard to trust and sees the world as if run by the gods (man-made ones). However, his facades don’t last and there are times that everyone sees him for who he really is, or at least what he thinks they see. He hopes everyone can see the halo he still feels he has, but is not sure if that’s the case. I have clips in here from a few movies as well that deal with this issue: The Emperor’s Club and Big Fish.
