Story behind the song
This song begins the story of a person who starts out well, though maybe a little cocky. His life journey is set: he wants to know the truth. He (and I will only use “he” here because I happen to be one, though the main character could be a her as well) is head strong and is confident about his own abilities; he knows his way back home. Home here is simply a metaphorical place of being for him: this is his home base. At the end of the song, however, there is a bit of a shift, as the fun happy tune morphs a bit and there is a feeling of being a bit lost (in fact, if you listen carefully, you will hear one of the lyrics of the song seem to fade into the background a bit. This is where the shift changes.
