Story behind the song
I was doing a lot of walking and hiking in the forest. I thought how the earth is our friend and provider(air, water, food, beauty). I thought to be truly alive is to have not only a physical relationship with the earth, but also a spiritual one.
Lyrics
Let your emotion show When I woke up this morning, the sun was just touchin’ the trees. Sat up and pulled back the curtains, it rushed in to rest on my knees, golden and smiling what a friend. As the day drew upon me, I ventured a walk to the stream. Flyin’ high in a circle, a white, tailed eagle screamed; soaring my spirit high in the air. But there is danger upon us. We must hold onto our dreams. In a world full of madness, that's comin’ apart at the seams. Open your hearts up, if you need a friend. Let's your emotions show, like seeds in the ground they will grow, though some may whither you sow, it's a chance that we take you know. As the sun rose up higher, I climbed to the top of a ridge. Saw the clear running water reflecting 1,000 images; bathing in sunlight, a gift from the woods. On the rim of the mountain, wildflowers scented the air. I could see an horizon, and things that had always been there; clearing my vision, a gift from the earth. But there is danger upon us. We must hold onto our dreams. In a world full of madness, that's comin’ apart at the seams. Open your hearts up, if you need a friend. CHORUS
