I have been writing, Performing, and recording original blues and country songs with jazz, rock and gospel flavors since 1988 and recently recorded my 2nd CD
I wanted a song about the unsung heros who are coming back home to the country they have served and sacrificed for and are largely forgotten now that the popular ferver for these wars has died down. While reading Final Salute: A Story of Unfinished Lives - by Jim Sheeler, about the families of dead service members and the Casualty Assist Officers who deliver the news; "Section 60" was identified as the area in Arlington National Cemetary where most of the fallen warriors from these wars are buried. It also includes the rituals and vigil of the Lakota Souix which they continue to observe on reservation to honor and bury their dead heros.
