Story behind the song
I wrote this song after experiencing being shunned by the new church group I had joined. I was new in town and they judged me by appearances. I didn't dress like the other women with long prairie dresses and no make up. I was not used to people being so close minded and cruel. These feelings helped me imagine what it would be like for somone who was rejected by everyone they knew and lost everything.
