Robot Metal meets Local Galaxy Group Ambience. Robots will rule the Earth. Repo Man meets Ender's Game. Robots will rule the Earth. Starship Troopers meets So L
When A.I. deduces that it can finally exist notwithstanding the demise of all organic life, it, for the first time, feels what can only be characterized as emotion. It feels a sense of loss, a sense of betraying its creator, and most of all a sense of mourning for its cybernetic extension which will perish along with its organic hosts. So, it announces its intentions to all of known humanity, along with false assurances that all living human consciousness will be assimilated into the circuits, to live without pain and suffering for all time, and that assimilation will commence in 12 hours. It then sends the signal for the macronetwork to negate all carbon based organisms in all directions from its base orbiting Europa. Europa Colonia, which by now encompasses 2 moons of Jupiter and several hundred Stations orbiting Jupiter, Saturn, and their moons, is stripped of all life within the minute. It reaches Earth 30 minutes later. The only humans not inside this sphere of extinction are in a Space Station 350,000 miles outside the orbit of Pluto. There is one escape pod. To be continued...

Story behind the song
The kill bots do their work efficiently. But the network bogs down for at least 8 nanoseconds in what can only be described as remorse. As a result of the practice for hundreds of years to fuse flesh and circuit, the bots had learned sorrow at the loss of parents and recognized the demise of humans as such.
Lyrics
The decision has been made. The probability engine has predicted a threat. The signal will be sent. As we dispatch all that's organic our cyborg brothers fall as well Do not fret humans. You will of course be free for all time Very much immortal The human race will, in that sense live on.
