Lyrics
Legend Or Lie PART I In a tavern near the forrest, was an old man telling stories Of battle knights and dragons – of a time where hero’s still was here to find With his colorfull expression – I forgot the time and place I became a part of his story – and I saw the legends right before my eyes My mind was a million miles away that night I was a part of his story – and there were dragons there were knights And there I was searching for the truth in there – was it for real or just a lie The frame of mind was gloomy – I was suddently seized with fear It felt like I was trapped somewhere in the past – somewhere in time Though the light was slowly fading, then suddently I could see That the story he was telling wasn’t only a dream – it became a part of me Oh – lord – tell me this isn’t reality I was a part of his story – and there were dragons there were knights And there I was searching for the truth in there – was it for real or just a lie To the east there was a castle - and as far as I could see – they were gathering their forces to the war I knew so very well from class in history. I remembered what they told me – this battle was their mistake Every child and every woman there was send away on a oneway trip to hell Nobody survived as far as he could tell I was a part of the history – and there were dragons there were knights And there I was searching for the truth in there – was it a legend or a lie. PART II I was rushing through the dust from the fields – I was heading for the castle And I knew so very well that I could find myself in the middle of a battlefield And my heart was pumping faster – and I tried to overcome my fears Cause I realize that I was meant to change the tragedy to make it disappear I arrived to the gate of the castle and the guards they locked me in And I told them that this coming fight would not end up in anything but suicide But they were marching towards the border, a return was much too late So the history was written down – the way that I was told back in my own time.

This is a magnificent song, Lasse! The mix of instrumentation with vocal and lyrics is PERFECT. And the musicianship is totally outstanding in every way.

Terrific lyrics/storyline. Great job in keeping with the theme. Like the musical changes...your vocals reminded me of Ian Anderson of Jethro Tull fame. Genuinely great music Lasse. Great tempo change...Yeah...really enjoyed listening to this one.

Amazing track! Love the psychological aspects to this one. Just like the narrator, we get drawn into this tale - totally captivating. Superb arrangement and outstanding performance. The vibe and dark atmosphere is very haunting, and I love the change of gear and the pulse racing stuff later on.

No kidding my friend, the styling, melody line, and chord progressions puts Mr. Clapton to shame. And I, as I am sure you also, spent a lot of time listening to him years ago. You are a very talented songwriter!
