It's another older SongSermon (copyright 2001). I haven't promoted it much b/c I didn't sing it well. But today, I swallowed my pride, deciding the message is worth it ... putting the new birth into simple math terms.
Lyrics
body=drums soul=piano spirit=bass (v.1) When God made Adam and Eve He made them perfectly With body ... soul ... and holy spirit They had all that they would need. But when they sinned they lost the spirit a catastrophic subtraction Man was now incomplete Man was now just a fraction. Man was now just two-thirds there just body and soul. So the essence of salvation is to once again make man whole. (c) Three thirds again, that is the plan, to make a man three thirds again. (v.2) Man can lose a finger and still get by just fine But man without the spirit ...? he wanders around blind. So God put the plan in motion where Jesus Christ would right the wrong. His birth ... his death ... his resurrection ... ... God’s plan moved along. Then came the day of Pentecost and with it the new birth. Man could now have spirit again while living here on earth. (c) Three thirds again, that is the plan, to make a man three thirds again. Three thirds again.
