We are a group of people who enjoy songwriting and then recording the songs. We do it for fun.
The Overtone Gang is a group of people who enjoy songwriting and then recording the songs. The structure of the gang is flexible and people may participate on one CD and not on another. It's their choice. Each person is allowed to pursue their own projects and come back to join the gang. Egos get in the way of music so we try hard to eliminate the reasons for it. 7 different people have been involved in the first three CDs. The Cycle of Life CD included a lot more people (16 in total). Our CD "Relations" had only four people. On our latest CD, Earth, there were three of us, Melanie Broussard, Buddy Trotter and Danny Liggett. The gang has written and recorded songs for 8 CDs. These were recorded by ourselves (no record deal). We duplicate our own CDs, design and print out the booklet and put the jewel case together. We do it for fun.

Story behind the song
A humorous song about striking out and closing the bar down.
Lyrics
It’s one a.m., I’m sitting here all a-lonely The drinks been pouring down with every song I don’t know if I can find a bathroom by myself So I’ll just stay here ‘till one comes along A while ago a lady sat next to me And I thought this dating game’s a breeze I was making all of kinds of progress ‘Til the barmaid took away my keys It’s going on closing time, at least that’s what they told me This door leads outside, it’s plain to see If my legs would work, I’d be walking So I’ll just crawl if that’s how it has to be
