When I was 22 a young lawyer took one of my songs and put it on the ‘B' side of his recording of Ave Maria. He invited me to watch the recording session at Criteria in Miami, Florida. Since that moment all I have ever wanted was to have my music recorded by professional musicians and sung by established artists. This truly is a monumental task as I do not perform live so I have recorded my own material as a means to get exposure and as a way for artists to be able to judge the “cover” worth of my songs. I am looking for a publishing deal. Contact Info: Jim Blachura C/O Stablesongs Phone: 336 995 0813 E Mail: saintlymanmusic@yahoo.com Saintly Man Music /ASCAP

Lyrics
Thirsty/ Blachura River's run dry can't figure out why Hadn't been this way for at least a thousand days and I cry out God, can you hear me? Food's running low no seed left to sow In the distance I gaze through the heat and the haze and I cry, oh... God, can you save me? Well, there is no God, at least, not now And even if there was he wouldn't do this to us; I'm gonna make a vow Anita, can you hear me? I wanna lay down in my dying gown There's not much hope; it's gettin' hard to cope, I can't even turn around; Anita would you take me Up there on Jacob's ladder...today, tomorrow doesn't matter I just wanna be free Up there so very high; things look different from the sky where I can see (That) I guess I'm just thirsty for the same things as you But I won't let the huddled masses tell me what to do There's a plague set upon this land to take our heart away But I swear I'll see my way straight through instead of being led astray And I'm hanging by a thread so thinly But at least there is a God within me My thoughts run dry can't figure out why Hadn't been this way for a week or ten days and I cry out There's a song deep within me Ideas running low, no words left to go with the melody's refrain that's kept me sustained for a year or so...My heart strings won't bring me Up there on Jacob's ladder...today, tomorrow, doesn't matter I just wanna be free Up there so very high; things look different from the sky where I can see If there's a lightning rod it's not workin' right now And even if it was it wouldn't matter because there's no one around To see the storm looming I'm gonna lay down in my sleeping gown Don't seem to get much rest, it just could be a test to help me hear the sound Of the truth that's within me...I wanna go Up there on Jacob's ladder...today, tomorrow doesn't matter I just wanna be free Up there so very high; things look different from the sky where I can see (That) I guess I'm just thirsty for the same things as you But I won't let the huddled masses tell me what to do There's a plague set upon this land to take our heart away But I swear I'll see my way straight through instead of being led astray And I'm hanging by a thread so thinly But at least I know there's a God within me Well, I guess I'm just thirsty for the same things as you But I won't let the dying masses tell me what to do Well, there's a plague set upon this land to take our heart away But I swear I'll see my way straight through instead of being led astray And I'm hanging by a thread so thinly But at least I know there's a God within me
