Lyrics
A little place in old japan a gentleman and lady in love sadness strikes the burrow when the gentleman must leave Hundred miles south hes stationed to lead as the lady stay right where she be Will love last over mountains Will love last long roads Will love last past the distance Will love pass or grow The man writes love in an envolope Shes replies back with her lipstick red promising a heart is hard but she feeds it to him like bread The sun and moon keep exchanging places The letters coming back become few and few til one day they stop coming and the mans heart turns blue Will love last over mountains Will the love last past long roads Will the love last past the distance Will the love pass or grow A year gone by and no letters to be seen so the man travels back home But when arrives to the door step His flood down from his bone Shes married to the mailman How oh how can this be you devious striking lass Is this really what you see Did love fall down the mountain Did it faint along the road Did the love not last Did the love really pass?
