Minnesota's Coeus the Boxing Titan offers a more unique take on the Prog Rock genre, roughly sounding like Pink Floyd playing Noise Rock after being stabbed in
Minnesota's Coeus the Boxing Titan is a musical deity that descended from the clouds back in 2008, as a way for sole member and songwriter Aro to vent pent-up emotion and punch holes in the fabric of modern rock. Combining his own takes on several genres, Coeus takes enormous influence from progressive, psychadelic, and industrial rock; artists like John Frusciante, Pink Floyd, Queens of the Stone Age, Primus, Beck, Mike Patton, and King Crimson. There are many undercurrents that help make the style distinct; downtempo and hip-hop music were a huge inspiration, as well as funk, noise rock and electronica. With nothing but cheap instruments and a PC, Coeus music is written with a heavy emphasis on the atmosphere and production of each song. The lyrics are stitched together from the chaos of the human mind, dealing with subjects like introspection, sanity, relationships, and heartache.

Lyrics
-verse1- til I met your gaze inside of my refuge flames had came in waves you slowly lit my fuse locked in on my eyes blinded by what I hear our body heat will rise the burn's our biggest fear oh and then we touch soon enough we're stuck in bliss we didn't wanna rush too tough in a blitz like this act like we own it even though we're so love sick protect this moment these explosions end so quick -chorus- a new war starts today fallout fades, won't fade away this bomb's like a clock tick so tame and chaotic a new war starts today fallout fades, won't fade away this bomb's like a clock tick so tame and chaotic -verse2- bleeding loneliness close cuts with just one stitch needing every kiss lost in lust, loving this that moment you blushed words became ambience atmospheric love leashed beneath the surface street of emotion left dead embers in it's wake repeat each motion what scent will this black flesh make? internal pressure one mistake is all it takes becoming less sure your smiling eyes won't detonate -chorus- a new war starts today fallout fades, won't fade away this bomb's like a clock tick so tame and chaotic a new war starts today fallout fades, won't fade away this bomb's like a clock tick so tame and chaotic -outro- fingers felt scars all around her wrist though she can't recall just why that is wears a short red skirt around her waist weary smile plastered across her face watches scorched fields with her flowered lens ominous clock tick makes no damn sense and though we both stall smiles are infectious girl, I hope that's all we'll both catch from this
