When I was 22 a young lawyer took one of my songs and put it on the ‘B' side of his recording of Ave Maria. He invited me to watch the recording session at Criteria in Miami, Florida. Since that moment all I have ever wanted was to have my music recorded by professional musicians and sung by established artists. This truly is a monumental task as I do not perform live so I have recorded my own material as a means to get exposure and as a way for artists to be able to judge the “cover” worth of my songs. I am looking for a publishing deal. Contact Info: Jim Blachura C/O Stablesongs Phone: 336 995 0813 E Mail: saintlymanmusic@yahoo.com Saintly Man Music /ASCAP

Story behind the song
In 1957 Dad moved us to Ft Lauderdale Florida...this is the story
Lyrics
Movin’ To Florida / Blachura Daddy came home one day; late ’57, say, said, “We’re movin’ to Florida”. Things will be better there…it’s sure a place where the temperature’s warm enough Let’s see what happens…oh, what the hell “We’ll buy a house”, he said, Worse comes to worse, we’ll have something to sell” Cousins and aunts came to visit as time passed when we moved to Florida Climes weren’t always tame especially when hurricanes started storming up But he knew what would happen, we’d grow up and fit in well, we’d call it a home instead Worse never came to worse, we had a story to tell Flamingoes, sunshine and bougainvillea vines Orange groves, night bloomin’ jasmine and southern pines It’s not where you live, it’s where your heart is You make your move and you just don’t look back Cause life never seems to cut you any slack Mommy and Daddy tried to make ends meet And we kids always seemed to have shoes on our feet And it was fun…movin’ to Florida Daddy would die right there, he enjoyed his years living in Florida We still go back to see Mom and the many schemes she’s always dreaming up We know life will go on, so we just sit a spell and Momma makes sure we’re fed It’s always just like it was from the smiles you can tell Coconuts, palm trees, seaboard railroad lines Sandy beaches, salt water skies and tourist signs It’s not where you live, it’s where your heart is
