Story behind the song
Commenting on another tune D asked if I now could play something in E#. So, I placed my hands on the keyboard and let improvisation, limited by my technical playing skills, do its magic. Outcome is very Max Qubit. The tune is simple enough, but I'm pleased with my setup of 3 stacked sampled piano's making even a simple tune sound good. I know, nothing beats the real thing (a real piano) but I don't have that at home, so you and I have to do with the virtual thing.
The important thing to remember when listening to this recording is that it is pure improvisation. I had 2 idea's going here, started playing and trying to get to the end (whenever I felt an end was appropriate) in one piece. You'll notice one or two 'hesitations' ... those hesitations are not 'bad', they are fun. It shows the real thing, inspiration and me trying to get a grip on that. I was trying to figure/remember what to play next.
Is this tune finished? No, not at all. But it has charm. The charm of freshness. It is full of fresh ideas, for me to work on, to get a proper tune. But if you ask me 'what is the joy of making music?' then it must be this, the inspiration which flows out of my hands and produce a tune. It doesn't happen that often, but when it does, it is pure joy.
Enjoy:)
