My name is Evan Schafer. I am an independent (or "indie") musician with a strong grounding in traditional composition, but I like to think my material always has a unique and individual flair. I guarantee not being bored out of your gourd when turning on one of the records. I produce, mix, and engineer everything myself, and have done so since late 2005.

Story behind the song
This is the first singer-songwriter material that I have composed in close to a year, after shifting my focus strictly to composing film music ("Something About Silas" and other smaller film projects) and contemporary classical music, which is my particular niche of the composing world. It feels good to get back into the medium of songwriting, which first threw me, head-first, into writing music to begin with ... and hopefully will reignite the flame that had me creating two albums per year only a short time ago.
