a 50/90 tune: I wrote this one today but the hook line I came up with a week or so ago -- but I set it aside and saved it for 50/90. One mic -- two guitars and two voices -- one take. I didn't telegraph the key change as well as I should have!
FDP Jam Tracks
This band page is going to be used for all of the jam tracks that have been posted by the FDP users at the "Home Recording" section at FenderForum.com. Check it out. Folks lay down basic bass/drums/guitar/effect tracks and allow users to add guitar and other parts. Pretty cool.
Story behind the song
This is actually song 50/90 song #2, but the first one isn't done yet (ha, ha). That one is a co-write with my nephew, Sam, with him singing and we decided to make a fuller production of it. OK, enough about the song that isn't here. I wrote this one today but the hook line I came up with a week or so ago -- but I set it aside and saved it for 50/90. I wasn't quite sure where it would go -- but I like it well enough. As always, re-writes are allowed.
One mic -- two guitars and two voices -- one take. I don't think I telegraphed the key change as well as I should have to Sam. I am using the band name Park Road for the songs with Sam this weekend.
Lyrics
Little Bit of Loving
(c) Emmrich 2011
(chorus)
She don't make me wonder
she don't make me wait
a little bit of loving
goes a long, long way
yea, a little bit of loving
goes a long, long way
(verse)
Way down south where the magnolias grow
How did I get so far away?
I must have turned left
when I should have turned right
so I'm heading back home tonight, cause ...
(chorus again)
(lead section)
(bridge)
sun's coming up
another day closer to you
i wonder what the future will bring ... but ...
(chorus again)
Kevin: vocal, nylon string guitar
Sam: vocal, acoustic guitar
