The Masquerade is a musical collective from Centralia, Washington harboring a swell melding of Folk, Rock, Digital, and Classical music. So there!
The revolving door of the brigade leaves Aaron Meyer as the only constant member of the band that ranges from Aaron alone with his guitar, to a full band. Aaron steps forward to head this new collective of local musicians who perform under the name of the Masquerade. Aaron's folky style of polar accoustic guitar melds with digital, rock, and classical music to create an emotional backdrop for stories that eek from the angst that can only emanate from a callousing, small town. This mixture of diffidence and demur blend to an eclectic sound. There's no telling what direction the collective may go stylistically, promising an ever-changing sound that will remain experimental.

Lyrics
The Man In Black shares his clothes With his children who know Their Mother will no longer have to save that seat. Now-a-days Pop music is in our blood My veins feel the corrosion We're Rock Stars now, we no longer need substance As the Tellers Of Old slink into their graves The stories are forgotten by a world of naves And no one can tell a story if they've never heard one. Last week I sunk into the grass And lied so low no one had the chance To find me, if they even cared to try. I let the demons flow out of my pores Scratched at my neck, beat the dirt floor And displayed my weakness for the judgement of the sky. Well, I guess the Sun had pity on me, he said "Hush now child, roll out of the shade So as you might bask in my light." I lied in his rays for a number of hours 'Till I saw a caterpillar crawl across a flower It was hideous now, but soon it would mature. I gotta get up From this sorrow soaked ground 'Cause I finally know beauty can be found in the ugly things The ugly things, like me. (won't be for long) When the Man In Black Shares his clothes With a nation of those Who frown at the news But don't really know what they're losing.
