Fred has been a musician since about 9 years old. He played piano for several years as well as viola in junior and senior high school. At 14 he began learning guitar on his own and later began writing songs. One of Fred's greatest musical joys came when his younger daughter wrote 5 songs at the age of 13,then more than 50 additional songs by the time she was 23.
