This is the remake of our song The Healer (Brooklyn Voodoo), firstly recorded in 2008. In May 1975 people in Brooklyn went crazy when Steve 'the healer' Taggart was arrested. He was the Healer, treating everyone for just one dime.

WELCOME IN THE BLUESBOX ------------------------------------ Thank you all for the support and the interest shown in our music since we started out in December 2006. BLUESBOX is a group of friends playing together, recording and uploading their stuff in the internet. It's not a traditional band ..... maybe it's more like an independent recording label. Everything is done without profit being involved, though. It costs us no big money to do it. I tell you: we would buy our instruments and use our time to play them anyway, wouldn't we ? There you go, as silly as it can be ..... we just do it for the sake of music. Unluckily we can be very lazy: most of the things are totally improvised ..... and recorded in a very basic way ..... but does it really matter ? Nobody's perfect ... right ? Thanks for your visit ..... we appreciate it. And remember .... you can listen, download, broadcast everything for free. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ [][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][] ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Here's who is who ..... _________________ - T-BONE MUSTANG a.k.a. Story behind the song
May 1975 Police cars arrive at The Healer's house, that was more properly a voodoo temple rather then a common home. The Authorities ordered him to stop from treating people with his voodoo, as he never attended any school of medicine. Steve "the healer" Taggart, though, couldn't let his folks down and continued secretly to practice his voodoo healing people, unitl he was arrested. People made up this song and you could hear it in every corner of the high streets. The Smoking Guitar Band made its own version of it.
