Why mess with someone else's song - especially a 'secular' song?
Romans 11:29 - "for the gifts and callings of God are irrevocable."
I believe God has placed gifts (talents) in each man, these gifts are to help that person carry out the calling of God upon their lives. The men who originally wrote this song, were made by God and for His purposes, as I believe we all are made to be: "a blessing and a glory in the earth".
Though all are made for this, many do not do not reach their highest potential in God. Locked in darkness, loneliness and confusion, this is what they magnify and glorify, sharing their misery with others through their gifts and talents. I wanted to redeem this song and cause it to bring glory to God. I thank Ub40 and pray they find peace in their maker.
