Story behind the song
I've been translating the work of the late Alain Bashung (1947-2009) and his collaborates for the past year. This was my first attempt at a singable translation. The challenge to sing it was undertaken first by musician Jimmy Bernard of Cherbourg, France. His driving guitar and great Sprechstimme-style singing make this a unique and special version. Felicitations, Jimmy!!
