Band/artist history
Played with Drift, the Sunlighters and once in a band called Vertical Horizon. (We cracked up when we saw another band with the same name pop up nearly ten years later.) And then there was Gadfly.
Have you performed in front of an audience?
I play live by myself all the time. I might look to join something in a bit; just to play 2nd guitar. It's rough running your own band. I'd like a break before doing that again.
Your musical influences
John Lennon, Harry Nilsson, Pink Floyd, Early Genesis, blues, U2, The Beatles, Pet Sounds, Opera, rock opera, Camille Saint-Saens, Mozart, Nirvana, lately listening to Wagner's Ring cycle like mad. Once you fall down that abyss, yer done for.
What equipment do you use?
In the studio I use Nuendo and Reason. I master in Wavelab or T-Racks. My amp is a Marshall MG50DFX, I play a Heritage Les Paul, a Squire Tele, a Squire P-bass, Fender fretless bass - all through a digitech GNX4 (Freaking awesome toy) and an old Yamaha acoustic. If I'm lucky, my wife lets me play her Gibson songwriter deluxe accoustic.
