Rock n Roll

Urban Speed Limit is 'myself', singer/songwriter Paul Morrell in collaboration with with various artists, who's ultimate goal is to create music with groove, soul, melody and attitude.
Band/artist history
Got born, got given guitar by Dad, danced around with it naked and making an unlistenable noise for a few years, got dressed, formed cover band, made some more unlistenable noise and spent a few years in the back of a van (sometimes naked), wrote some crap songs, became drug addict, cleaned up, became alcoholic, cleaned up, became sex addict, cleaned up, became fitness addict, cleaned up, lost sense of humour, got it back, became normal (well almost), got bored, wrote song, wrote another song, wrote another so.., you get the picture, etc, etc, etc, here I am!!! Just another songwriter really.
Have you performed in front of an audience?
Going to be doing loads of Web Casts real soon and heading out anywhere that people want us. I'll be appearing on my own and with the band.
Your musical influences
Everything from Gene Vincent and Del Shannon to Smokey Robinson, The Temptations, to The Ramones, The Sex Pistols, to Earth Wind & Fire, to Chic, The Sugar Hill Gang, to REM, to U2 to Kings X, to The Happy Mondays, to The Stone Roses, to Foo Fighters and loads inbetween. Like I said: Groove, Soul, Melody and Attitude.
What equipment do you use?
Orig Fender Strat. Ancient Yamaha bass that sounds better than any new bass I've ever heard. SM58 Beta, so much more clarity and volume in a live situation and a battered Tanglewood acoustic.
