Urban Safari is a Finnish heavy/rock band that has been playing since 1998. Music of Urban Safari combines elements from grunge, heavy and 80's rock. The band is formed by the following members:
Jaki Mariel - vocals & guitar
Dinky Jackson - guitar
Alex Honest - bass
Arnold - drums
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
Urban Safari was founded in 1998. After some line up changes the band reached the line up that actively worked from 2000 to 2004. In September 2004 Urban Safari decided to call it a day for once and for all, but ended up recalling the decision in January 2005. Some line up changes had taken place during the break and the band came back with a new drummer and bass player. The musical style of the band has changed and developed during the years. The present music combines elements from grunge, heavy and 80’s rock.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
Sure!! Playing live is one of the best things in music. The most special moment was 2 years ago when we played in front of almost 800 people and they singing along with the songs. It was pretty amazing.
