Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
I've been beatmaking since the summer of '05. Music is my thing. During freshman year of college, I started getting better at it, and started taking it seriously. Eventually, I got good. Made my first sale in November of '05, been going hard ever since. No, it's not about the money for me; it is about good music. But the money does help... ;-)
Your musical influences
Damn. So many influences. As far as producers go= Dr. Dre, 9th Wonder, Ryan Leslie, Timbaland, Just Blaze to name a few. Primo ofcourse. Ski Beatz (Dead Presidents = favorite beat of all time). As far as other music influences, I craft my beats to sound like something these artists would rhyme over: Little Brother, Eminem, Mos Def (Blackstar days), Joe Budden, Jay-z, Wayne, Snoop, Jeezy to name a few. I love old music for samples. Give me something from the 70s or 80s to flip. I eat that shit up.
