I think it's hard to place some of my music into any particular genre, but I think electronica is fitting enough. I really got into writing music about a year ago, when I got my mac. I had played around on garage band a bit, and have been around music/instruments my whole life. It has to come 2nd to raising my family, but music creation has been my passion since I was a little kid, and finally I'm trying to do something with it.
I don't have any real studio equipment, and am teaching myself step by step to play the piano (i think I'm starting to come around, except everything I write is done on my computer keyboard). I write everything from scratch, and I usually don't use loops 'cept for beats, which is odd 'cuz I'm a drummer.....I hope you enjoy my music, and if you listen frequently, I think you will be able to tell the difference advancements I makeHave you performed in front of an audience?no
Your musical influences
As part of the drumline in high school, I learned to live and breathe all things percussion...compulsive beats....thus the start of my passion for electronica. I listen to alot of pendulum and gabriel and dresden, but often I find that underground artists have the best new tunes. Oo, Infected Mushroom is a favorite....What equipment do you use?
Only garage band...no midi instruments, no beat machine, no mixer. I often lose interest due to lack of equipment and effects, but I think I make it work
