Hi all, Mike here. Guessing as its been seven years since the last posting, I am probably too late, (technophobe i'm afraid). But in case any of the band do stumble on this, HELLO.
I'm still in Chilton, and still married, but retired from gigs in 1996. (Sold the keyboards too).
Hope you are all ok, and i loved hearing those demo's again.
Maybe speak to some of you soon.

a lot of things I read this evening that I did not see before...
Ok .. I am am old fart ...
But to get some photos and more tunes on our ultraspec site would be lovely.
So e-mail anything to me and I will post!
Alone .. My tape disintegrated .. I would like to be able to add this and other tunes to the list.
Any others .. evern crappy recordings of any tunes would be good ...
U never know who may want to play around with them.
I had so much fun recently doing on-line recording with a world class Sax player from France. We did a cover of "Ain't no stopping us now!".
Lemme know if you want to hear it .. the brass section is real, backing vocs are amazing and bass player "funks!"
Let me know whatever you want to post .. pics. music, etc.. files ..

Hi All,
Yes, Martin again. I can't find a copy of Alone, Christmas Magic or Linda anywhere. Can anyone e-mail a copy to me? I'd like to have a go at re-doing Linda sometime.
I've got a couple of recordings of some live gigs I did as a solo artist in Nottingham if anyone would like to hear it.
Anyway, who is still playing out there in Ultra Spec land? I guess John is still very active on the music front but he always was a driving force in the band and probably still continues to produce kool stuf. Steve, I guess you still dabble with big band stuff. Mike, you were still playing when last I heard. Let me know please.

Blimey this set up has changed a bit since I last came here.
Hello there Martin glad you came back here. I really am so sorry about your Mum and only found out when your Dad wrote to me after my Dad died in May. You know we loved her very much, she was a wonderful lady. I havent been able to reply to your Dad yet, but promise I will, they were devoted to each other. Just had a bit of a struggle myself with contacting people. Am sure you can understand.
haha I have a copy of Linda on tape and Footwalk and remember Mikes Dinah, well that be there too. Will have to get me backside into gear and do something with them.
John I also will get them photos to you as well. haha well you didnt do bad for not reading music. I remember reading the drum parts for you and teaching you how to do a paradiddle lols that my claim to fame.

Hi all,
Is anyone still on here? Yes it's Martin (wait for grumbles of dissaproval). Just wanted to see what else had been added and to let you know that my Mum sadly passed away in February, after a long battle with emphysema. However, whilst we were going through some of the belongings I did come across some old pictures of the band which I would be happy to scan in and send if someone can publish them. I just have to get them from Dad and then they can be in the public domain. Just email me at work, you can use martin.belcher@jetpress.com but make sure it is not abusive stuff eh! It's all a long time ago.
Ref copies of songs, well I don't think Linda ever got recorded but I still remember it. Ya never know I might re-do it and post it here as a re-mastered Ultra Spec tune Ha. I'm sure I have a copy of Alone somewhere too but I will have to check that.

Well my computer been poorly for quite a few months.. and me being the techy I am have only just got it up and running! Things at home have hindered i.e. roof falling in and my little chalet being virtually rebuilt, ma an pa not being well, losing a few of my old animals (my pig and old sheep) but also gaining a few more etc etc. never a dull moment here.
John I have just come across the Ultra Spec scrap books (yep there are quite a few of them) so will be doing some scanning and forward some pics to you. eeeeeeek I got papers everywhere.. think I need 5 weeks sorting haaha.
Upate Colin and his partner, have finally made it official (I think that was back in August and norty me with all the upheaval havent been in touch).
Roy Challis rang a few weeks back, wanting a copy of the video of the last booking.... erm now where did I put that!! ha ha.. i think he said he would be down this way this month too and w

I am in contact with someone in Germany who has close connections with the singer of Adrian Tillbrooks band of the time .. Back Door... do any of you remember him, when we visited him whilst touring Newcastle, aww bless he took us under his wing a bit didnt he.

As regards Colin he is doing real well for himself, he moved house last year, 5 doors from where he originally lived and he is a Dene at one of the universities in Plymouth, still with his partner of over 10 years now.. Little devil turned up at one of my gigs, that was a few years back now. Unfortunately he no longer plods on his bass. Thought he would have gone on forever. Mike came here for an overnight stop (lorry driver) and he is now married (he married his next door neighbour), but havent heard from him in ages.. he was still playing though, but I am sure that Breeze (petes band) folded if i remember rightly, not sure where I heard it from. It was nice to see him though and we ended up playing Everybody Gotta Learn Sometime (I had two keyboards at the time, yep got adventurous) it was his favourite.

Hi all,
Thought I'd stick in my two penneth, hoping that I don't get the same reastion as the last time I reared my head from oblivion! Mind you, it looks like I'm a bit late as the last interest shown was a year ago. Glad to see so many of you still out there & thanks to Sandy for the comment about "Linda".

Also have found some more songs that we did Footwalk Dance, Dina and some that we did after you left. Might be appropriate nearer to Christmas if I let you have Christmas Magic and let you know the story behind it.

John. Over the past5 years I have re-done the 3 songs plus Alone. Re-done Mystery and Imagination twice the last being the most successful. Thinking about having another go, when I do will send you a copy.
