I'm just someone who loves the blues. Unless otherwise noted, all the music and lyrics are 100% original. I like to blend traditional blues with rock and funk into a progressive modern blues kind of sound. Sometimes I just like to get down and jam with some straight-up blues rock. I also write and arrange original pop, singer/songwriter songs. Look forward to more of the latter being put up soon.Band/artist history
I began playing guitar at the age 15 after years of interest in both guitar and writing. I was self taught for 6 months before deciding to take lessons. Early on I began studying the blues and it's been the basis for all my learning so far. However, I am formally trained in jazz guitar, and I would have to say that it does influence my playing to a certain degree. I started becoming interested in writing popular music a few years ago and I feel that I'm getting to the point where it can be marketable.Have you performed in front of an audience?I play live in a band called Off The Wagon that plays bar-band music.
Your musical influences
My biggest influence would have to be the music of the Allman Brothers Band. Duane Allman, Gregg Allman, Dickey Betts, Warren Haynes, Derek Trucks have all in some way influenced both my playing and my singing. Other influences include Elmore James, Muddy Waters, Freddie King, Mike Mattison, etc...and a small range of funk influencesWhat equipment do you use?
