I like to write songs and sing them to people.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
tyler arnold has been playing out, singing original songs and a selection of cover tunes, since the age of 14. in five years his writing has shown both aspirations of a young rock star and a troubadour. every new song brings more into focus a distinctive singing and writing style influenced by the likes of tom waits, rage against the machine, jeff buckley, and flickerstick. disparate influences, to be sure.
the headless acrobat ep hit streets in november 2006 and has gotten a small, but decidedly positive reaction. embarking on weekend trips and short tours, live shows have begun to make a name for tyler. he has performed with successful groups from the midwest and around the country including the gunshy, andrew bryant, the brimstone howl, vago, natalie illeana, april in andalusia, and the villain.
this is a long-term, career-minded plan that has been put in motion. to stay independent: self-releasing, self-booking, self-managing; winning a following the old fashioned way, one fan at a time, one gig at a time.
