Two Minutes Hate is a Blacksburg, VA metal band featuring Teddy Borny on bass, on guitar and vocals, and Wespen drummer Stephen Dodge.
Two Minutes Hate was formed (under another name) in late 2002 or early 2003, featuring guitarist Ben Papillon(www.soundclick.com/benpapillon), drummer Tyler Welsh, and bassist Teddy Borny. Although Ben remained constant throughout, the band went through several other guitarists before meeting Dave Godfrey in the fall of 2003. Dave took over rythm guitar duties for the band as well as vocals, and the band became known as Two Minutes Hate.
The band began to spend time learning covers and having improvised jam sessions. After their first performance, they began to delve more into original songwriting.
Shortly after, lead guitarist Ben Papillon left the band due to a waining interest in heavy music. Two Minutes Hate continued on, in a 3 piece format, until August of 2004 when drummer Tyler Welsh decided to part ways with the band due to divergent musical tastes.
Teddy Borny, now the only original band member, and Dave Godfrey drafted Wespen drummer Stephen to fill in for Tyler Welsh, something which he easily accomplished (Teddy Borny had previously guest performed with Wespen). Two Minutes Hate continues to get heavier and more creative, and their live shows leave the audience well entertained.
