Heal The Land: Dooney Helps Our Nation!
Dewayne Brown a.k.a. Dooney, feeling direct effects from the on slot of hurricanes Katrina and Rita, was inspired by the sense of hope and recovery expressed toward the victims by relief organizations, local & national charities, thousands of churches across the country and individuals who opened up their hearts as well as their home to receive these displaced citizens. The song Heal The Land is touching home for many of the survivors who now reside in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area and has been well received by radio stations across the area. Dooney has been featured on Texas Country Reporter (television program in statewide syndication), Metro which is a featured show on WFAA-TV News 8 covering the DFW Metroplex (who also shot a music video for this release), KrunkRadio.com, KHVN 970am Heaven 97 Radio in Dallas, all to rave reviews. The co-writers and recording artists, Dewayne "Dooney" Brown and Cederic "The Vocal Pastor Phillips, said they wanted to do something to contribute to the hurricane victims. Dooney and Phillips are giving all proceeds to relief organizations assisting in the quick recovery of New Orleans and other hard hit areas along the Gulf Coast. Because to Dooney its not about the money, its about encouraging our people.
