Tru aka The Idealist
What's up I'm Tru aka The Idealist and I'm a 16 years old Rapper/Singer. When I rap I try my harded to spit like my every song has a specific and unique feeling. I started writing music when I was 7 yrs old thats where my fire started burning, from then on I had been doing my best to get better at my trade. I joined a dance group when I moved to Orlando and I became a very talented and Energetic dancer. When I was in the seventh grade I made up my mind music was all I wanted to do, and that i would be dedicated to reaching that goal. Over the last two years I have grown as a songwriter/Composer thanks to my friends and family esp. Mr. Champ and the champion recording and live sound family. When I perform I give my every piece of energy.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
As of now history is in the process of being made,Jan 1,2004 I became the Tru aka The Idealist and locally my name is beginning to get around.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
Yes. I perform at talent show different churches. Plus I am drummer and 2nd keyboard in my churches band. Currently looking for shows to perform on as well different conferences to perform at.
Your musical influences
My influences start with my inspiration and thats God (note- I am not a straight Christian artist). My father influence me by giving me this desire for music, where he fell short I'll pick up the slack. Michael Jacksons,Tonex,Kirk Franklin,Usher,Sisqo,Ginuwine,IMX,Jay Z,nas,Outkast,Eminiem,MicFlowWave,Lil Temp,Kutter,B-Nice,Kanye West,Emotional Thug (my cousin),Musiq,Mr.Champ the helping me and pushing me and Minister Frazier the man who blow my mind away when I first heard him play the keyboard and sing. He doesn't know it, but he is one of my greatest influences as a muscian. As for being a Unique artist I owe that to my Uncle James Gibson and Aunt Estelle Dunn no one sees it but they have push me farther than they know by guidance. Esp. all my friend that believe that I can do it.
