Trona

Trona is a compilation of veteran musicians that have focused their talents on producing high energy original music. The members have paid their dues working clubs and concerts in a variety of bands across the country over many years. These years of development have allowed each of the members to establish their own traditional yet unique style of play. More recently, the band has concentrated on refining their music in studio sessions that have produced several highly original and well arranged works. Originating in Southern California, the members of the band are heavily influenced by classic rock groups that include Pink Floyd, The Pretenders. Janis Joplin, and Journey along with more contemporary artists such as Eric Johnson and Joe Satriani. These influences have molded the groups style into one that is both classic rock and an emerging new rock sound. Kerye toured for several years with The Richard Tucker Band and Calabash and refined his song writing talents during this time. Later he teamed up with song writing partner Corina and percussionist Butch in the band Cheetah Slick where they produced original compositions. Butch moved on to join Prowler but later returned to help form Trona. Bill has years of experience with many cover bands and teamed with Butch a few years back to form the all original hard rock group Megalodon. Our newest member, Henry, hails from Detroit where he grew up listening to Ted Nugent and the MC5. A singer/songwriter by nature, has been honing his rhythm guitar skills with Trona and Orange County cover band, The Borracho Brothers.
