From the darkest corner of the Mile High City where one can begin to feel free, its still hard not to be locked into a trend, whether it be music or life. The band TRiPCAGE in essence is breaking free of the cultural hardcore biased that has been labeled the Denver underground metal scene. With ridged guitars riffs that seem to slip into some melodic daze, backed by a power punching rhythm section that builds a cage for the obscured vocal melodies, TRiPCAGE is escaping the musical grinder to unleash the chaos within.
Band/artist history
Created from the remnants of Denver Local bands 4 Head Scream, Niche, and Urizen, TRiPCAGE has spun an innovative web of unique 7 string attacks and melodic transitions that paint the pictures of realms that the band conveys. TRiPCAGE was founded by Mike Klemm (Guitars) and Mike Klein (Drums) formerly of 4 Head Scream. After a long search, they stumbled upon Mitch Barnes (Bass), who has a unique aggressive style that brings the intensity on the stage to another level. The need for a front man that could capitalize on the emotion in the music brought them to Stone. With his brash verses and somber sweet choruses, he was what the band needed to tighten its grip on their musical style.
Not only is TRiPCAGE dominating the Denver local scene, they are also spreading their musical propaganda to other states and mediums. They have been played on numerous radio stations though out the Midwest, looked at by west coast Independent Record Labels, been featured on several compilation CDs, and received ample local press.
TRiPCAGE has built a powerful local fan base across the Front Range, they are sure to reach an audience far beyond the great walls of the Rocky Mountains. They are seeking out a larger, more diverse following. The band will take hostage the souls of the national metal interest. TRiPCAGE is an explosive experiment with psychopathic energy, that will leave you drooling in a drug induced coma, never to look upon the world with the same dying eyes again. Your cage is made, lay in it!
