"Tried By Fire" is a group of guys from South Mississippi that discovered thier true talents one night sitting in a living room, playing their original music, just fooling around. Someone heard the music and said, "This is what you guys need to be doing, playing for God". And so, with that being said, here we are.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
"Tried By Fire" has been together for about 8 years. We have played a lot of low-profile shows like fund raisers for people who have cancer or for someone that has lost a home because of fire or flood. We have played churches, banks, converest homes, schools , city functions, etc... "Tried By Fire" has one goal: to do Gods will. We want to let God guide us in the right direction. We hope God will help people through our Music.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
YES!!! We love to play live! It really gives us a chance to meet and talk to people. We write about things that people face every day. God has given us this chance to sing and play and we want to make the best of it.

We have a lot of musical influences:
The Singing Cook Family, Carl Hall, Dottie Rambo, The Hensons, Harry Johnson, The Crab Family, Bill Monroe & The Clark Family.
What equipment do you use?
Guitars: Ibanez, Gibson, Washburn, Jackson, Kramer, Washburn BX100 Bass.
Amplification: Marshall guitar amps; Gallien-Kreuger 250BL bass amp;
JBL 50,000 watt P.A. + monitor system.
Guitar strings provided by S.I.T., drum accessories provided by
EVANS DRUM COMPANY, vocal mics provided by SHURE.
