Dreamy. ethereal and passionate - Trespassers William is a combination of the songwriting sensibilities of artists like the Red House Painters and Grant Lee Phillips, with the dreamy sound of bands like Coldplay and the Cure, set in organic and temperate rhythms. At once hypnotic and emotional.
Guitarist Matt Brown started the band in 1996 with singer/songwriter, Anna-Lynne Williams. Now joined by a full band: Jamie Williams on Drums and Trinidad Sanchez III on Bass, they have fully realized the sound that band has aspired to create - beautiful, emotional and orginal.
Their first CD, "anchor," is a reflection of their first four years together, a brilliant collection of understated, acoustic based songs. Assisted by multi-instumentalist Josh Gordon, the CD shimmers with subtle sadness and beauty.
The band were 1999 Lilith Fair Talent search Finalists, they have performed with Aimee Mann, Ron Sexsmith, Squeeze and David Gray, and they have been heard on MTV's the Real World and Road Rules.
