Band/artist history
It all began back in 1995 when two school mates (Andrew & Stu) decided get together and exploit their already developed musical talents. Renowned for their "little projects" Andrew and Stu decided to build a band around themselves that would be their most successful "little project" to date. Called Norsia the band became one of Melbournes more well known progressive rock outfits boasting two CD's (LP & EP), a film clip, radio interviews, gigs at The Metro, Punters (R.I.P), Storey Hall, and two television appearances - channel 31 & ABC. Norsia was well known as being a great live act playing with bands such as Biscuit (A.K.A Another Race), Dub War, The Testeagles, and The Mark of Cain - which brings me to the next part of this topsy turvey tale... Sadly after 4 years of intense gigging, recording and general silliness Andrew and Stu were separated. Poached by The Mark Of Cain, Stu left Melbourne to begin a new career as the drummer for the now very popular hardcore Adelaide outfit. Andrew was left in Melbourne (luckily with a very musical family) to begin an intense period of song writing. Things seemed to slow down. Something wasn't right. The school mates were separated for too long and the Melbourne band scene began to dissapate. -- for the next chapter to this saga go to translateband.com
