I am the band
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
Played in a metal band and various classic rock/blues bands. I'm currently playing in 'Stone Whiskey', and putting down musical ideas on my digital work station now. Not to much time for anything more demanding than that.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
I'm in a local band called 'Stone Whiskey'. We're basically a classic rock band, but I hate that label. We play the local road house from time to time as well as house partys.
Your musical influences
Stevie Ray, Albert-Freddie-BB,Jimi, Jimmy, ZZ top, AC/DC, Skynyrd, CCR,Johnny Winter, Nugent, Triumph, Black Sabbath and too many others. My parents loved country and as a kid I loved it for the stories and still do although I prefer the old school country. Started guitar at 17 playing Sweet home Alabama. Went through a big Stevie Ray phase, followed by a long AC/DC phase. Loved all the metal years but could never quite play the scales fast enough. So that brought me back to the blues and blues rock, where I always revert back to.
What equipment do you use?
Ibanez piece of crap w/ upgraded pick ups and tuners, Epi Les Paul, Fender Blues Deville(tweed!) Boss BR1600CD digital work station, Groove Tubes GT55 condenser mic, Presonus Tubepre pre amp, KRK Rockit5 powered monitors. All the songs on my page were done on equipment that cost less than $2500. in one corner of my garage, while my wife was watching American Idol.
Anything else?
I try to write things that average folks can relate to and make you think, not just clever rhymes. These tunes also give me a chance to learn musically. If you like my stuff, down load it, share it, enjoy it, that's why I created it. drop me a message about what you thought of it, good or bad.
