Traedonya
Traedonya is a former church-singer turned trained jazz vocalist turned ‘hip-hopera’ singer
At an early age Traedonya became part of X-Clan from that group’s inception
She has worked extensively with Large Professor he is her mentor and was instrumental in helping her get her first record deal with Elektra and produced her first real demo
Her band Sample This! was signed to Elektra in the early 90s
Through hanging out with Large Professor, Traedonya witnessed first-hand the early days of artists such as Nas, Pete Rock, Q-Tip and more
She has sung and/or played with : Etta James, Devante Swing (of Jodeci), Afrika Bambaataa, Ziggy Marley, Burning Flame and many others
She attended New York’s prestigious New School conservatory and trained as a jazz vocalist
While at New School she worked and studied with jazz greats Reggie Workman, Bernard Purdie and Chico HamiltonAdmin
