Story behind the song
"Raped" as well as another song "Dirt"(not yet released) are both in memory of my cousin Tuesday May Darrah who was killed then rapped at the age of 11 in 1986. http://www.highbeam.com/doc/1P2-22604440.html I also being a victim of sexual assault finally got up enough courage to write about it after visiting her grave for many years and just having my moments alone there with her. It was very hard song to write as I think of her often. We looked like we could have been twins. Her funeral was the first I had ever been too and I was only 9 in half at the time. I had finally gotten to a point in my life where I was ready to just lay it all out and not care what anyone thought. I just knew that the longer I held on to the pain of it all for both of us I would never be able to move forward and would still be their victim. So in memory of her and ALL victims of any kind of sexual assault this song is for you. Rock ~H
