I made a lot of very varied popsongs in the pre-digital age.

I say they're McCartneyish, as I don't know how to categorize them. Allsorts.

The description I use is RETRO

I'm really a songwriter who wants others to perform these songs. So please bear that in mind as you grimace at my efforts to be acceptable. I'm especially concerned to write good lyrics, and if you do ever give some time to my stuff, I hope you will click to the lyrics and read those also. They don't come easy, you know.

I'm plonking my songs here to give them a home, in the hope you might think they're not too bad. In fact, in the hope that you'll snap them up and I'll become an instant overnight megastar multi-millionaire.

But failing that, I hope that you just like them. And if you do like one - I'd especially like it if you told me so. We all need strokes, eh ?

why should I not take fragmented dreams and wrap them up in a tissue that's made of plausible lies ? let my beliefs now empty above, so moon and the sun and stars were not ever there in the skies why shouldn't all these sorrows unwanted be wiped from my eyes ? the moon's not in the sky the stars don't shine on high the sun has run away all of these things are the proof saying you never left me they're such convincing proof that you never left me so many things in the sky, but for myself I do not care observe how easily I just close my eyes and they're not there - see I don't want to admit that I'm crying why shouldn't all these lingering sorrows be moved from my mind ? that moon's not in the sky those stars don't shine on high that sun has run away all of these things are the proof saying you never left me they're such convincing proof that you never left me so many things in the sky, but for myself I do not care observe how easily I just close my eyes and they're not there - see I don't want to admit that I'm crying (it doesn't hurt)
