Started his bass carrer with Norwich bands Granite, The 4 dimensional scientists and Madder Than The Inmates. Later moved to North Cambs and formed the blues rock band The 4tune cookies. Then joined hi-energy/punk power trio Cold Shoulder. Matt left the band in 2008 to do some recording (and to let his ears recover...)

Story behind the song

The motivation was the death of a family friend, I thought her name should be immortalised. I play it to warm up and when I'm feeling emotional. Have tried over the years to add another part - but its now too ingrained in my psyche!
