Story behind the song
In the late 1980's I traveled back to Bellingham Washington to visit my dear friend John 'JAHn' Cook, where he was living on Lake Sammish. We went for a drive through the melting snow up some logging roads near his house. When we returned I turned on the Tascam 4-track cassette recorder and Jahn played this song which was inspired by our little trek. I later added bass, electric guitar, and backing vocals. Because of the nature of trying to do more tracks than just 4 with only 4 tracks, it ended up being mono. I took an old mix of the song and attempted to make it stereo and to try to clean up most of the inevitabe hiss. Even with the low quality of the medium, it is another testament to the incredible power of Jahn Cook's amazing ability of Improvisational Creation!
