Story behind the song

The Apostle John sometimes refers to Jesus Christ as "the Word." In the opening verse of John's Gospel, He nails down the identity of Jesus: He was with God in the beginning, and He Himself is God! More than a prophet, more than a teacher, Jesus Christ is God the Son, eternally co-existant with God the Father.
