My staging ground for ideas I'm working on... Likely to be lots of stuff in various stages of completion. It will run the gamut, too - from experimental/abstract electronica to straight-ahed pop, proggish-rock to spoken word.

Story behind the song
A friend of mine contracted HIV a couple years ago. While HIV is no longer quite the death sentence it was, there's still a lot of ... emotional baggage that tends to come with it. Anywho, we'd dated ... almost a decade ago now. It was short and a bit stormy. We're both of the dreamer variety and saddled with bipolarity. When he asked me to write him a song "before he dies" I thought about it and decided I wanted to try and capture a sort of innocence and imagination offset by a sort of tragedy - two people who could create worlds in their heads yet couldn't save the world between them. :(
Lyrics
We danced on the world before time When night and day were the same Then you made the stars with a sweep of your arms And I drew the moon with a kiss And so our sun became We played in the oceans of space And filled every sea with a thought Then you shaped the trees While I tamed the breeze But there in the shade of the dreams that we made WELL I FEEL THAT I CAN'T HEAL THE SCARS AND WOUNDS THAT YOU WIELD We built all the cities at once And paved every road as we walked But dressed in the sheets of our towers and streets I saw the eyes of the lies that we stalked AND I SEE THAT I CAN'T BE THE STARRY SKY THAT YOU NEED AND I KNOW I CAN'T SHOW THE LIGHT AND THE JOY YOU WOULD HOLD HERE FOR ME
