Story behind the song

I got sucked in by a 'wave' station one day by an old R&B favorite - next thing I knew I was listening to smooth crap. So I decided to write one of my own but with nicer chords and a hipper feel. At least I think that's what happened. ;-) 
BTW, this is a very ruff vs but you get the idea - maybe I'll finish it someday.
